It is very well know and widely admitted that the learning of a language these days is of absolute importance and essential in the education of our children. This school, Luyferivas, has accepted  the responsibility of pursuing such significant task since its very beginning in the year 2000.

Not only do we count with a highly motivated staff that transmit all the complexity of the English grammar, engage the students in absorbing conversations in class and use the latest learning methods  but every year we also plan and design a three-week stay abroad, more specifically in Ireland, with the aim of putting into practice and observing the effectiveness of what we teach in class.

During these stays, the students are hosted in families of the surrounding areas and every day  attend a nearby school where they are grouped together with students of other nationalities accordingly to their levels in the mastery of the language. The school in Ireland prepares both classes and different types of activities that allow the students to experience English in a wide range of interesting real-life contexts. In the afternoons and evenings the students, participate in sports and social activities programmed by the school monitored by a dedicated group of native leaders.

It goes without saying that the students, from the very first moment at the airport ,are accompanied by a teacher from Luyferivas, a teacher that , in most of the cases has been with them all through the academic year and knows their weaknesses and their strong points when working with the English language.

If we are definitely compromised as a school with an effective learning of a foreign language ,we should not therefore set a limit in the means to achieve it but we need to explore others that might result more effective .These three-week stays in an English speaking country have proved to be so  all through the years this school has decided to put them into practice. Having an academically successful study abroad in a carefully tailored environment together with the proper  exposure to the language will definitely result in an excellent means for our students in their way towards their mastery of the English language.
