Is a bat a mammal or a bird? And the dolphin, a mammal or a fish? Can you guess? Most children are captivated by animals and often have an animal that is their favourite. But, what do they know about them?
During this month, in Natural Science, children will learn the fascinating characteristics of animals all over the planet. Finding how animals are similar or how they are different will help children understand and learn animal classification. There are different animal classes and every animal in the world belongs to one of them. Backbone, milk, feathers, scales, lungs, gills are some of the keywords that will help children with this task.
It’s astonishing for children to find out that bats and dolphins are mammals simply because they nurse their babies with MILK. More than that, bats are the only mammals that can fly like a bird without using an aeroplane!
