The English Speaker: encouraging children to speak english

It is proved by many renowned universities that children have a natural ability to learn a second language. What is more, when they are required to talk in a second language, in this case English, they seem to feel more confident and comfortable speaking it than adults do.

In Luyfe Rivas, regarding the importance of motivating our pupils to speak English, one of the activities we are now promoting  is The English Speaker. This is a speaking-English encouraged competition in which the more pupils communicate in English among them and their teachers the more ´stars` they will get.  As this competition is to encourage and motivate them to use English, all the students who participate will receive a certificate at the end of the school year.

Besides, it would be a fantastic idea to keep motivating them at home. Some daily activities such as using mobile apps or singing songs can be done in English.
