Luyferivas Theatre Club Presents Alice in Wonderland

The Luyferivas Theatre Club, run by Miss Amber and Miss Lisa, put on the musical play Alice in Wonderland Jr. last Thursday 14 June. The musical was a spectacular show of colour, music and humour.  There were 31 children from Year 1 to Year 5 involved in the production and all of their hard work and dedication paid off. The show was an enormous success.  The theatre was full to capacity of proud parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and relatives who had all come to see the young actors perform.  And they were not disappointed.

The show started with the characters from each of the scenes of Alice in Wonderland appearing on stage and greeting the audience with funny antics and charm.  Once all the actors were onstage, they sang and danced to the theme song Alice in Wonderland.  Then they took their places and the acting began.  It was with great pride and joy that I watched as these young actors transformed into the characters from the play, using body language and intonation.  It is especially impressive to listen to these students conveying humour though the intonation they use, when the play is entirely in English!

These kids have really got talent.  And with all the effort and determination that they put into pulling off a musical of the calibre of Alice in Wonderland, it is no surprise that the evening was such a great success.  Make sure you come back next year to enjoy more of the Luyferivas Theatre Club’s performances!
