Yesterday, 10th of December, the 71st anniversary of Human Rights was celebrated. It was declared as a Universal Law in 1948 and proclaimed International Day by the UN in 1950. This Declaration took place after the World War II, where a great amount of barbarism and contempt acts were committed against humanity.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights reflects the rights inherent in all human beings, regardless of their beliefs, race, sex, origin, political opinions or economic position.

It is essential to promote and spread the importance of human rights in order to avoid falling back into the same mistakes of the past. It could be considered part of our obligation to teach and explain to our children what the fundamental rights of human beings are; so that, from childhood, they learn to respect them.

As a matter of fact, it is necessary to help and inform young people in particular about the current problems that we can face and how to solve them. For this reason, yesterday there were talks in favor of gender equality and against abuses at the Luyferivas’ school. With those talks, we hope that our children will learn to respect their partner and realize that we are all equal and have the same rights. As time goes by, they will learn how to end unjust and abusive situations or understand that there are situations in which we must ask for help either for personal problems or for people close to us.
