When witches go riding and black cats are seen, are you ready for Halloween?

Although nowadays it is an International Day of Fun, candy and costumes, Halloween has Irish origins. Every October 31st, the ‘Celtic New Year’ was celebrated, coinciding with the arroba of autumn. On this All-Hallows’ Eve, the dead were believed to walk among the living.

Did you know that the magician and escapologist Houdini die don Halloween in 1926, or that the White House is said to be haunted? This week, in 3rd grade, pupils have created magic wands. To do them, they have used tree sticks, which have been decorated with wool yarn of different colours. Once kids finished wrapping the different yarns around the sticks, they added some feather and… VOILÁ! On the other hand, in 4th grade, students have built their own haunted house. To make the building, they covered a carton brick with black cardboard. Once glued and dry, kids moved on to decorate it with spooky elementsFinally, they stuck the terrifying roof. WOULD YOU DARE COME IN?!!

Pero no fueron los únicos que realizaron actividades y talleres durante estas últimas semanas…

Y llegó la gran fiesta!! TRICK OR TREAT?

¡¡Nos ha encantado decorar calabazas en primaria!! ¡Pasamos un día de miedo!
