Love is in the air this week as we prepare for Valentine's Day in our art classes. Hearts, roses and the colours pink and red are to be found everywhere.
The first class kids loved getting their hands dirty as they finger-painted some beautiful heart trees for their loved ones. We put on some 90s love songs (in English, of course) and thought about who we wanted to give our heart-filled picture to.
In second class, we made a typical Valentine's Day card for our loved ones. A phrase commonly used in English to express love, especially by kids, is "I love you THIS much", accompanied by the child stretching out their arms as much as they can. We mirrored this in the card by making a little heart creature who has expandable arms to show how much they love you.
We hope your family enjoys the children's artistic creations and appreciate the love that went into them.
