Happy Halloween everyone!

I hope all your spirits are kept in a safe place and the best witch ever takes care of them. We are aware of the fact that Halloween is incredibly popular across countries, especially in the United States where crowds of people celebrate it by decorating their houses and buying tons of candies for those who do trick-or-treating.

But, legend has it that some of the Halloween motifs are not actually American, as some come from Ireland, this happens with is the story of Jack-o’-Lantern. It is said that a man who played around with the devil was not allowed to go neither to heaven nor to hell, so he spent a lot of time wandering in the Earth just carrying a lantern (as you can infer from the name). Thus, everything we knew that was purely American has also roots in other countries.

Well, I know this year will be a really odd one as we can’t go and do trick-or-treating. In spite of that, I encourage you to hold the spirit of Halloween and still find it an interesting festivity. Yet, I challenge you to celebrate it by writing a poem about Halloween, here is mine:

Little tiny pot here you get a frog
If you get it right and take the pumpkin tight
I will see a very shiny twinkling light
And I would just become a zombie dog
That has to bite this spell book to take a log
So that I can make a scarecrow!
